Fencing the garden
Jun. 2nd, 2009 02:55 pmI transplanted red cabbages yesterday, and planted some cabbage seeds. Also, since Soph destroyed all the leeks I'd grown indoors from seeds, I planted the rest of the packet straight outdoors.
We had a frost two nights ago, but I'm thinking of going ahead and planting the cauliflower and other frost-sensitive veggies, and covering them if a frost is likely. Also need to get a few tomato and pepper plants to add.
Tua and I put in a partial fence to keep Redneck (so helpful when cultivating, so naughty when planting) and groundhogs out. We'll finish it as son as Tua gets his hands on more chicken wire. I told Tua and Ben that I wish I had a cherub with a flaming sword, like the one God uses to guard the garden of Eden. I bet God had no groundhog problems!
