Jul. 5th, 2007 09:54 amTua and I are so exhausted; me, because I've been spending all my time with a 14-month-old and still have a sermon to write, and Tua because he's been teaching these courses and then spending all his free time with a 14-month-old. He's a great kid - smart, independent, funny, but the level of exhaustion really makes one reconsider having kids.
Still, the visit has been good. Shabbat was fun, even after the oven locked the door on our arctic char and we thought we'd have to smell overcooked, rotting fish all Friday night and Saturday (Tua managed to free the fish for dinner, and it was still edible!). We played Red Empire and Uno, and spent lots of time with the ducks.
Other things we've done: visit VINS to see the raptors and frogs, a short walk by the Queechee Gorge, tour of the Ben & Jerry's factory (vaguely disappointing), and a trip to the Disney version of a working farm and Vermont village, aka the Billings farm and the town of Woodstock, played lots of Hand and Foot.
And now, back to 2 Kings 5 . . .
