Easter snow brings Pentecost's . . . glow?
Apr. 5th, 2007 01:03 pmIt has been snowing all night, all morning, and is still snowing now. The forecast for the Triduum . . . snow showers, snow showers, snow showers. I know Easter is not about the weather, but it's funny how, at the level of emotions and imagery, it sort of is about the weather. The change of the seasons, at least . . . My favorite French Christmas carol plus Easter hymn: "Now the green blade riseth from the buried grain, Wheat that in the dark earth many days has lain; Love lives again, that with the dead has been: Love is come again like wheat that springeth green."
