Dec. 4th, 2006 02:38 pmWe're moving so soon and there's so much to do--to keep myself positive, I need to write more "what I like about Vermont" posts. So here's one:
What I like about Vermont is that I won't be faced with any advertising at all when I go for a walk. I won't have to walk through a corridor of ads everywhere I go (nor will there be any Barnard students around to whom I can compare myself unfavorably).
I won't know what movies are coming out or what kind of special jeans folks are wearing in the cities and the suburbs. All I'll know about fashion is what new models of Muck shoe are in at the feed store and what everyone's wearing in church (from slacks and sweater to goth to 50-year-old high-necked shirts and plaid skirts--that last is Tua's aunt).
Hallelujah!
